Sculptra™

Sculptra™ is an extremely effective injectable dermal filler designed to add volume to the face and augment features affected by facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy. Many individuals experience a hollow or sunken appearance in the cheeks and around the eyes and Sculptra™ can do wonders for restoring a more youthful, contoured aesthetic.

Sculptra™ is an FDA-approved injectable treatment for facial hollowness. It is made of a biocompatible, synthetic material consisting of poly-L-lactic acid. Sculptra™ procedures involve injections in targeted areas with a fine needle. The Sculptra™ solution stimulates the growth of new collagen with the goal of replenishing volume to facial features. A series of treatments are ideal for the best results, and each procedure typically only lasts about 30 minutes.

Patients will likely experience some mild redness, bruising, and swelling after Sculptra™ treatment for a few days afterward. Most people are able to return to work and other activities immediately following the procedure.

Sculptra™ results are typically not immediate, but over time patients should see significant enhancement in facial features as new collagen continues to grow. Results from Sculptra™ treatments are known to last up to two years in some cases, and can be maintained with occasional maintenance treatments.
